Robert ÒBobÓ Hayes Sr.

Services for Robert “Bob” Hayes Sr. are at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at Willow Head Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Silas Brinson will officiate and interment follows in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Mr. Hayes was the son of the late Oliver Hayes Sr. and Emma Hill Hayes. He attended Thomasville City School, was a construction worker and mechanic prior to becoming disabled. On April 8, 1970, he married Annie Bell Graham who survives. Other survivors include daughters, Shawn Hayes, Cynthia Arrington (Donald) all of Thomasville; sons, Norman Graham, Derrick Hayes (Tiffany) all of Thomasville, Robert Hayes Jr. (Sabrina) of Atlanta; granddaughters, Annbriell Hayes, Jacara Hayes, Bria Hayes, Loagan Hayes, Alexis Coleman, Alexia Coleman, Donyae Williams, Karrell Morton; grandsons, Tamarcus Sharp, Marlo Dixon, Robert Hayes III, Jacobi Hayes, Dexter Boone; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Sharp, Andre Morton, Kennedy Morton, Mariah Morton; brother, Oliver Hayes Jr. (Mary Frances) of Thomasville; sisters, Eris Clark, Beverly Williams, Johnnie Mae Carley, Lillie Webb all of Thomasville, Sara Thompson (Joseph) of Cairo; sisters-in-law, Lessie Pettis, Birda Miller (Bennie), Fannie Hayes all of Thomasville; brother-in-law, Phillip Graham (Linda) of Thomasville; devoted nephews, Johnny Hayes, Jeffery Alexander, Michael Clark; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandsons, Denoris Coleman, Lenoris Coleman; sisters, Annie Grace Brown, Patsena Fruitree, Virginia Adams, Mary Newkirk; and brothers, Charles Hayes Sr. and Earl Hayes.
