Services to celebrate the life of Catholine Hall Peters, 91, of Cairo, GA, will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Jimmy Voyles will officiate and interment will be in Spring Hill Methodist Church Cemetery, Whigham, GA.  Mrs. Peters passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Magnolia Place in Cairo, GA.  Active pallbearers will be: Dwayne Davis, Bobby English, G. W. (Jerry) Long, Percy Phillips, Luther Smith, and Charles Womble.  Honorary pallbearers will be: Rodney Collins, Lynwood Collins, Jack Drew, and Leo Palmer.  Mrs. Peters was born in Grady County, GA, on February 1, 1921, to the late Clower and Sarah Hollingsworth Hall.  She was married to Walter L. Peters, who preceded her in death.  She was a home maker and a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church, Whigham, GA.  She was known to all as “Kitty”.  “Kitty” was an avid gardener, loved and enjoyed growing citrus trees and sharing the fruit.  She was a great lover of birds, especially humming birds.  Some of her happiest times were spent fishing, with her late friend, Ruby Harrison, at the Harrison pond.  She was a fantastic cook and dearly loved making cakes, especially “friendship Cakes”.  She appreciated and enjoyed needlepoint art and made some beautiful needlepoint pictures.  “Kitty” was a wonderful friend to all that knew her and always wanted to be of help to others.  She is survived by nieces: Nell H. Widner of Cairo, GA, Bonnie H. Amdahl (Rick) of Orange Lake, FL, Gail Moore of Tallahassee, FL, Kay Barrineau (Charles) of Tallahassee, FL; nephews, Hall McRory (Ellaree) of Tampa, FL, Jerry McRory (Romela) of Banks, AL, Larry Harrell (Gilda) of Whigham, GA, John Harrell (Denna) of Whigham, GA, Tommy Harrell (Jackie) of Whigham, GA, Bruce Harrell (Joyce) of Poulan, GA, Eddie Prince (Barbara) of Eufaula, AL, Charles Prince (Becky) Eufaula, AL, Ray Prince of Cairo, GA, David Prince (Carol) of Douglasville, GA; step-sons, Franz Peters of Baker, W. VA, and Lanny Peters of Spring Branch, TX; special niece-in-law, Mary Jo Harrell of Whigham, GA, and dear friends, Carolyn Fulton of Cairo, GA, and Barbara Collins of Thomasville, GA.  She was preceded in death by: husband, Ped Durden, and husband, Walter L. Peters; her parents, Clower and Sarah H. Hall; sisters, Edna H. Moore, Hazel H. McRory, Louise H. Prince, and Madie H. Harrell; brother, Carlton Hall; nephews, W. C. Harrell and Bryan McRory.  The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, February 2, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.  Guests may sign the online register at www.clarkfuneral.com. — Clark Funeral Home
