Mary W. Ellington

Services for Mary W. Ellington of Thomasville, are at 4 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2009, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Rd., Covington, Ga., with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Ellington died June 18, 2009, at the age of 92. Mrs. Ellington was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Thomasville. Mr. and Mrs. Ellington, who were married for more than 38 years, owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Thomasville. She enjoyed golfing and playing cards with her friends and was an avid gardener. Mrs. Ellington will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Ellington; and son, Edward L. Ellington. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Thomas C. and Regina W. Ellington of Marietta; grandchildren, Thomas J. Ellington, Christopher L. Ellington, Elizabeth A. Ellington; sisters-in-law, Betty Walthall of Newnan and Helen Walthall of College Park. — Caldwell & Cowan
