Frances Jeanette Moncrief Sanders

Services for Frances Jeanette Moncrief Sanders, 83, of Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2009, at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Milton C. Gardner and the Rev. Dr. Tom Jacobs will officiate and interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery on 16th St. Pallbearers are Rev. Jack Schulz, Layne Richardson, Roy Petry, Pete Brookerd and George Watt. Mrs. Sanders died June 17 at her residence. Born Sept. 6, 1925, in Thomas County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie R. and Mary Lillian Moncrief. On Aug. 28, 1943, in Thomasville, she married Richard T. Sanders, who survives. Mrs. Sanders was a member of First Baptist Church. Other survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Ondria Sanders of Thomasville; daughter, Frances Ponder of Rockmart; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Jim Roddenberry of Thomasville; grandchildren, Amy Hooper and husband, Jerome of Cedartown, Sam Ponder of Cedar Key, Fla., Ricky Sanders and wife, Rebecca of Thomasville, LeAnn Jackson and husband, Stuart of Thomasville, Heather Maria Roddenberry of Thomasville; great-grandchildren, Ann Murray Jackson of Thomasville, Jake and Ben Sanders of Thomasville, Raina, Finley and Skylar Hooper of Cedartown and Bailey Grace Freeman of Gulf Port, Miss.; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Marie Moncrief of Thomasville; sisters, Virginia Hicks and Alice Mae NeSmith both of Thomasville; numerous nieces and nephews.
