David Len Stokes

Services for David Len Stokes, 54, Cairo, are at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Long Branch Baptist Church. The Rev. A.C. Gilliard, Rev. Robert Crapps and Rev. Rod Brinkley will officiate and interment follows at Pine Forest Cemetery in Ochlocknee. Pallbearers are Mark Bryant, Terry Prince, Phillip Palmer, Keith Griffin, Jeff Will and Alan Wells. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Harrell, Rodney Harrison, Jerry Mobley, Marcus Beasley, Carson Bearden, Kirk Lowry, Robbie Mills, Marty Powe, Virgil McClelland, Ken Walden, Richard Wells, Joey Ferrell, Dick Miller, Robert French, Mac Barfield, Larry Hudson, Johnny Hudson, Jackie Ammons, Dr. David Hensley, Dr. Mark Hudson, Mike Jones, Sid Pridgen, Drew Pyrz and Daryl Sparks. Mr. Stokes died Monday, June 15, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born Dec. 6, 1954, in Grady County, he was a son of Durwood Stokes and the late Doxie Hudson Stokes. He was married to Janice Noles Stokes, who survives, he owned Quality Car Care, Inc. and was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Janice Noles Stokes, of Cairo, Georgia, he is survived by sons, Phillip Stokes, and girlfriend, Jennifer Mobley, Cairo, Georgia, Wesley Stokes, Cairo, Georgia; daughter, April Elizbeth Noles, Chicago, Illinois; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Emma Stokes, Thomasville, Georgia, Danny and Desire Stokes, Thomasville, Georgia, Raymond Stokes, Whigham, Georgia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Teresea and Michael Weeks, Thomasville, Georgia, Patsie and Jason Prince, Cairo, Georgia; parents, Durwood and Pauline Stokes.
