Mary Baker Graham

Services for Mary Baker Graham, 65, Thomasville, are at 3 p.m., Oct. 4, 2008, at House of Joy where she was a member. The Rev. Verbertha Tillis will officiate and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers are Marvin Springle, Robbie Turner, James Bushware, William Hardy, Darlye Mitchell and Gemeil Hardy. Mrs. Graham died Oct. 1 at her residence. Born Aug. 6, 1943, in Ty Ty, she was a daughter of the late Edward Baker and Bertha Lee Breland. Survivors include daughter and husband, Elizabeth Lundy (Howard) of Thomasville; daughter, Cynthia Pourch of Thomasville; daughters and husbands, Delores Whisby (Kenneth), Dorothy Hadley (Calvin) all of Thomasville; sons and wives, Darrin Baker (Kesha), Travis Baker and Christine all of Thomasville; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren all of Thomasville; sisters, Thelma Knight, Emma Clark both of Thomasville; sisters and husbands, Brenda Head (George), Cynthia Beckham (Phillip) all of Atlanta; brother, Roscoe Baker of Sylvester; brother and wife, Walter Baker (Michelle) of Greenburg, N.C.; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The viewing is 2 p.m. until the funeral service at the church with no viewing after the eulogy. The family will receive friends after the services at 818 N. Spair St. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1:45 p.m., at 206 S. College St. for the processional.
