Services for Ernest S. Dow, 76, 246 2nd Ave., Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2006, at Hadley’s Funeral Home, 622 N. Broad St., Thomasville. The Rev. Ananias Hopkins III will officiate and interment is in Hall Cemetery in Miccousukee, Fla. Active pallbearers are family friends. Mr. Dow died March 23 at Brownwood Nursing Home in Moultrie. Born Nov. 30, 1929, he was a son of the late Richard Dow Sr. and Hattie L. Ivory Dow. He was of the Baptist faith and a gardner. Survivors include daughters, Sandra Dow, Beverly Dow both of Youngstown, Ohio, Vangie Scott of Thomasville; son, Kenneth Martin (Vicki) of Thomasville; grandson, John Dow of Youngstown; granddaughters, Heather Benson, Latisha Dow both of Youngstown; grandson, Kevin Martin of El Paso, Texas; granddaughter, Adrina Martin of El Paso; nieces, Inez Webb (Ronald) of Bradenton, Fla., Hattie Jones (Jerry), Gecoba Dow all of Tampa, Fla.; nephews, Richard Dow of Clermont, Fla., Michael Dow of South Bay, Fla., Eric Dow of Avon Park, Fla.; sister-in-law, Alveta A. Services for Myrtle Graham Duggar are at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2006, in the chapel of Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home. The Rev. Mrs. Duggar died April 5 at Archbold Hospital. Born April 28, 1933, in Colquitt County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas L. Graham and Mercilla Turner Graham. She was married to Arberth D. Duggar who preceded her in death on April 19, 1994. Mrs. Duggar was a retired Bell South operator. She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church, member of Bell South Pioneers and volunteered every week at the Brian Center. Survivors include a daughter, Regina Duggar of Thomasville; sister, Hester Quick of Thomasville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Anna and Ferris Knight, Thelma and Bud Gay, Dora and Henry Rollins all of Thomasville; sister, Vinnie Graham of Lawrenceville; brothers, Ellis Graham of Thomasville, Hoyt Graham of Hosford, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Born May 4, 1950, in Mitchell County, he was a son of Ruby Lee Harvey and the late Ernest Harvey Sr. He was retired from Miller Brewing Co. He was a member of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board. On Sept. 15, 1949, he married Carol Atkinson Horton of Cairo who survives. He was a member of Georgia Farm Bureau and Cairo Lodge No. 299, Grady County Shrine Club and Hasan Temple in Albany.
