Evelyn Pauline Smith

THOMASVILLE — Services for Evelyn Pauline Smith, 89, Ochlocknee, are at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010, at Mizpah Primitive Baptist Church. Interment is at Mizpah Cemetery, with the Rev. Dennis Norman officiating. Pallbearers are Earl Smith, Charles Smith, Gary Smith, Pat Smith, Blake Smith and Jim Thompson. Ms. Smith died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home. She was born April 22, 1921, in Ochlocknee. Her parents were the late Willie L. Smith and Carrie Bell McClellan. A retired secretary of the U.S. government at the Pentagon, Ms. Smith was a member of Mizpah Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include brothers, Delmar Smith, Tallahassee, Fla., Water Smith, Tallahassee, W.L. Smith, Tallahassee; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie L. and Carrie Bell McClellan Smith; sister, Vera Akridge; brothers, Leroy Smith, Calvin and Elmer Smith.
