Funeral services for Curtis Pate of Cairo will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Greater New Corinth M. B. Church. Rev. Morris Evans, Church Pastor, Pastor Edward Seabrooks officiating services with interment to follow at Crestview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnnie Carter, Willie Cleveland, Zacharius Gibson, Migel Lewis, Vincent Pate, Deyun Thompson, Douglas White and Travis White. Mr. Pate was the son of the late Maggie Mae Keaton and the late Eddie Pate. He was a member of Mt. Zuma M. B. Church of Bainbridge. Mr. Pate departed this life on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Survivors to cherish his memory include his sons Marvin Pate (Shelia), Herman Pate (Doris) and Ervin Pate (Gloria); daughters Mercerdese Cleveland, Patrice Jones, Lorraine Pate and Dawn Seabrooks; raised as a son Derrick Thomas; raised as a daughter Sherrell Foutain (Andrew); sister Jannie Crump (CJ); twenty-six grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. — Weston’s Funeral Home
