Martha A. Washington Geer

— Services for Martha A. Washington Geer, 77 of Thomasville will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, February 22, 2013 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Don West will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Geer passed away February 20, 2013 at Camellia Gardens. Born May 17, 1935 in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late Raymond A. Washington and Ruth Marian Rogers Washington. She was married to Robert W. Geer, who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Thomasville High School; and was a member and Elder of Boston Presbyterian Church. She was a patriot and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, John W. Geer and wife Sherri of Thomasville, Eve Michele Rumble and husband Fortson of Thomasville, Robert Alan Geer of Thomasville, Michael Thomas Geer of Tallahassee, Fl; grandchildren, Blade Geer, Susan Rumble, Kelsey Geer, Katie Rumble,  Christopher Geer, Holly Rumble and Hannah Geer; sister and brother, Glenys Smith and husband Darrell of Tallahassee, Fl and Col. Alan Washington and wife Anne of Stafford, VA; nieces and nephews, Anne Avery and husband Bill of Monticello, Fl, Nancy Clemons and husband Dane of Tallahassee, Daniel Washington and wife Angie of Huntersville, NC and Adam Washington of Stafford, VA. She was preceded in death by son, Robert W. Geer, Jr. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
