Pauline Kerce Lampkin

THOMASVILLE —

Funeral services for Pauline Kerce Lampkin, 85, of Thomasville will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Trinity Baptist Church.  Rev. Kenneth Burgess and Rev. Nathan Fowler will officiate services with interment to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Christopher Lampkin, Robin Lampkin, Jesse Mayfield, Billy Anderson, Chad Anderson and Mike Fielding.  Ms. Lampkin was born on May 26, 1927 in Pavo to the late Thomas James Kerce and Addie Mae Owens Kerce.  She was a graduate of Pelham High School and worked as a label maker at Warner’s.  Ms. Lampkin wed Mr. James Thurman Lampkin, Sr. on May 25, 1946 in Pavo their union continued until the time of his passing on October 22, 1983.  She was also a member of the Joy Club of Pavo.  Ms. Lampkin departed this life on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville.  Survivors to cherish her memory include her sons Bobby (Kathie) Lampkin of Ochlocknee and Larry (Kathie) Lampkin of Belmont, NC; daughter-in-law Ava Lampkin of Thomasville; grandchildren Todd Lampkin, Robin Lampkin and Amy Lampkin all of Thomasville, Jamie (Rex) Alligood of Ochlocknee; Christopher (Jaime) Lampkin of Gastonia, NC, Joanie (Matthew) Stringer of Thomasville, Megan Lampkin of Belmont, NC; great-grandchildren Jesse Mayfield of Thomasville, Lynlie and Landon Alligood of Ochlocknee, Peyton Lampkin of Gastonia, NC, Mason Lee of Belmont, NC and Boone Stringer of Thomasville; brother Johnny (Robin) Kerce of Pelham; sisters Jeanette (Richard) Cox and Christine Wallace both of Pelham; sisters-in-law Betty Morris and Cathy Kerce.  She was preceded in death by a son James Thurman Lampkin, Jr.; three brothers Grady, Lawrence and Preston Kerce; four sisters Mary Clifford Kerce, Lois Nadine Kerce, Inez Thigpen and Lillian Madden.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 6 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.   Sign the Register Book online at www.whiddonshiverfuneralhome.com — Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home
