Mattie Lou Garner

— Services for Mattie Lou Garner, 92, of Thomasville, will be Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Terry Dorm will officiate, and internment will be at Ochlocknee City Cemetery. Mrs. Garner died Jan. 4, 2013, in Thomasville. Born May 12, 1920, in Lamar County, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Mattie Lou Garner Allen. She was a homemaker and attended Church of God. She was married to the late Arnold Garner. Survivors include daughters, Earline Garner of Ochlocknee, Elizabeth Lou Duckett of Venice, Texas, Beatrice Carr of Zebulon; and sons, Glen Arnold (Edna) of Griffin, Eugene. M. Garner (Margaret) of Ochlocknee. Other survivors include 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Mae Garner, three brothers and two sisters. The family will receive friends from 1 until service time on Monday at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. — Allen & Allen Funeral Home
