Wanice Lee Morris

Services for Wanice Lee Morris, Jr., 69, of Coolidge will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Big Creek Baptist Church where he was a member. Rev. Al Wilbourn will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Walter Waldrep, Jason Boyette, Donnie Eubanks, Dennis Eubanks, Jamie Steinburg and Charles Harrod. Honorary pallbearers will be the Patriot Guard. Mr. Morris passed away December 12, 2012 at Colquitt Regional in Moultrie. Born May 18, 1943 in Statesboro he was the son of the late Wanice L. Morris, Sr. and Catherine Thrift Morris. He was married to Shirley Eubanks Morris, who survives. He was veteran of the United States Army and Air Force and received the Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam. Mr. Morris was also the Sunday School Superintendent at Big Creek Baptist Church.  Other survivors include his children, Michael Callahan and wife Michelle of Valdosta and Jonathan Morris of Albany; grandchildren, Connor Callahan and Caitlyn Callahan; aunts, Inez Reddish of Atlanta, Carolyn Hewitte of Folkston, Alsene Brown of Morrow, aunt & uncle Bill & Latrelle Chesser of Folkston, uncle M.D. Thrift and wife Raynelle of Nahunta; brother-in-law, Dean Eubanks and wife Wanda of Moultrie; sister-in-law, Annie Laura Eubanks of Pavo and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Friday at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. Guests may sign the online register at www.allenfh.com — Allen & Allen Funeral Home
