Cornelius Andre Powell

THOMASVILLE —

Services for Cornelius Andre Powell, 50, are at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Saint Clair P.B. Church, Cairo, with Elder Jimmy Simmons, church pastor, officiating. Interment is at Crestview Cemetery. Pallbearers are Willie George, Lucius Lurry, William “Buc” Thomas, Albert Johnson and Willie Teal. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Cairo High school Class of 1979. Mr. Powell died Wednesday, May 9, 2012. He was a son of Janie F. Powell and the late Charlie A. Powell and a member of Saint Clair P.B. Church. He is survived by his mother, Janie F. Powell; son, Andre Durrell Queen; grandson, Amare Perkins; sisters, Eunice Delaney (Frank), Aundrea Andrades (Raphael); brothers, Wayne Jones (Katherine), Terrell Mills (Michelle); adopted children, Jairm Queen, Alexis Boles, Travis Pise Jr., Loreal Young; a special nephew, Raphael Andrades; aunt, Irene Powell; uncle, A.B. Ford Jr.; a special cousin, James Atkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends who will miss him. — Weston’s Funeral Home
