Willie Frank “Bill” Scott

THOMASVILLE —

Services for Willie Frank “Bill” Scott, 68, of Whigham, GA, are at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2013, Magnolia Baptist Church, Whigham, GA.  Rev. Johnny Burdick will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be his nephews, Jimmy Scott, Todd Oxyer, Robert Hall, Nick Bailey, Richard Bailey, Jerimiah Sprague, Joe Millington and Greg Hughes.  Mr. Scott was born on December 29, 1944, in Americus, GA, to the late James Leon and Wynelle Crook Scott.  On October 16, 1970, he married Pamela Millington Scott, who survives.  Mr. Scott did mobile home setup and repairs and was self-employed for 30 years.  He grew up in Smithville, GA, and lived in Lee County, GA, until 14 years ago when he relocated to be near his sons and grandchildren. He loved his grandchildren, camping and fishing.  He was a member of Smithfield Baptist Church.  Mr. Scott departed this life at his home in Whigham, GA on Sunday, February 17, 2013.  He is survived by: his wife, Pamela K. Scott of Whigham, GA; children, Jody and Ann Scott of Cairo, GA, Christopher and Anna Scott of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Jason Scott (Sarah) of Thomasville, GA, Taylor Morgan Scott of Whigham, GA, Faith Ann Scott of Whigham, GA, Chance Walker Scott of Cairo, GA, and step-grandson, Colby Gilliam of Albany, GA; brothers, Charlie E. Scott (Debra) of Americus, GA, Allen Millington (Mary) of Leesburg, GA, Brian Millington (Chom) of Windsor, MO, Steve Millington of Panama City, FL; sisters, Laura Hall of Vienna, GA, Alice Faye (Phil) of Leesburg, GA, Shirl Bailey (Billy Wayne) of Cottondale, FL, Rebeca Beamon of Panama City, FL, Carmella Coates of Panama City, FL, Paula Sprague (Mike) of LaRue, OH; mother-in-law, Pearl Millington of LaRue, OH.  Mr. Scott was preceded in death by: his parents, James Leon and Nellie Scott; sister, Nina Grace Oxyer; father-in-law, Zachaeus Millington.  Memorials may be made to Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.
