Christine Augusta Willis

THOMASVILLE —

Services for Christine Augusta Willis, 84, of Pelham will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Ron Shiver will officiate services with interment to follow at Pinecrest Memory Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Don Singleton, Derry Singleton, Len Hickey, David Hickey, Mark Humphries and Todd Harrell.  Ms. Willis was born on August 25, 1928 in Grady Co. to the late Clinton and Susie Mae Palmer Humphries.  She was a member of East Pelham Baptist Church and during her life she worked as a librarian until the time of her retirement.  Ms. Humphries, as she was known before marriage, would wed Mr. Daniel A. Q. Willis and their union would continue until the time of his passing.  Ms. Willis departed this life on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla.  Survivors to cherish her memory include her children Donna Warren of Pelham and Wesley Willis (Beth) of Denton; grandchildren Jamie Scott (Kim), Jessica Jennings (Jay) Rachael Scott, Daniel Willis (Patricia), Matthew Willis and Kerrie WIllis; great-grandchildren Gabe Hynote, Chloe Martin, Samantha Jennings, Brody Jennings, Marissa Willis, Dominic Willis and Makinze Willis; brothers Hulon Humphries of New Orleans, LA and Charles Humphries (Diane) of Camilla; sisters Jewell Singleton (Lester) of Climax, Jeanette Shiver (Donald) of Camilla, Mary Sue Hickey (Shelby) of Meigs and Connie Mayer of Jacksonville, FL; sister-in-law Miriam Humphries of Putney; She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel A. Q. Willis, parents Clint and Susie Mae Palmer Humphries and brother G. L.
