THOMASVILLE —

Services for Kathleen Bartley Holeman, 88, of Ochlocknee will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Barnetts Creek Baptist Church, where she was a member. Dr. Calvin Bobo will officiate and interment will follow in church cemetery. Mrs. Holeman passed away April 29, 2012 at Plantation Manor. Born April 21, 1924 in Jacksboro, TN., she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Bartley and Elizabeth Sharpe Bartley. On June 18, 1945 in Jacksboro, TN she married Rev. Ben B. Holeman who preceded her in death. Mrs. Holeman moved to Ochlocknee in October 1998 from Dayton, OH where she and Rev. Holeman had lived for 35 years. She was very involved in church throughout her life. One of her greatest joys was serving as a Cottage Parent at Ormsby Village Childrens Home, Louisville KY 1954 - 1957. Mrs. Holeman was a devoted homemaker and spent many years taking care of her husband during his prolonged illness. She enjoyed being in the sunshine, playing the piano and singing hymns. Without a doubt Mrs. Holeman loved the Lord. Survivors include her children Ben J. Holeman and wife Jane and Teena Farmer and husband Ron; grandchildren, Keir Holeman and wife Tonya, Tim Bennett, Jani Rice and husband Tony, Jeni Smith and husband Sean, and Jim Kilgore and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sister, Alice Bartley and brother, Bill Bartley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Barnetts Creek Baptist Church, 27 Maddox Rd., Ochlocknee, GA 31773. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the funeral home. Guests may sign the online register at www.allefh.com. — Allen & Allen Funeral Home
