Thelma Wooten Goff

THOMASVILLE —

Services for Thelma Wooten Goff, 98, Coolidge, are at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Baker Funeral Chapel. Interment is at Murphy Cemetery, with the Rev. Chuck Scarborough and the Rev. Bobby Whitaker officiating. Casketbearers will be grandsons. Honorary casketbearers will be great-grandsons. Mrs. Goff died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. She was born July 28, 1914, in Thomas County. A homemaker, she was a member of New Hope Freewill Baptist Church. She was married to the late Clyde E. “Sook” Goff. Survivors include sons, A.K. “Buck” Goff and wife, Loyce, Ochlocknee, Arthur H. “Butch” Goff and wife, Michelle, Twin City; daughters, Elaine G. Johnson and husband, Don, Coolidge; a sister, Myrtle Morris, Coolidge; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Edna Elizabeth Goff Ricks; brother, Arthur Wooten; son-in-law, Jack Ricks; great-grandchild, Brandon Craig Goff; grandchild, Debbie Halbert; and a sister, Ira Wood. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26. The family may be contacted at 2770 U.S. 319 South, Coolidge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Murphy Cemetery Fund. — Baker Funeral Home
