Services for Nannie Lee Lindsey Folsom of Thomasville are at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home chapel. Bishop Travis Mitchell, Charles King, Tom Watson and the Rev. Johnny Birdick will officiate and interment is in Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman. Mrs. Folsom died Thursday, Jan. 28 at Golden Living Center in Thomasville. Born July 20, 1921, in Quitman, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Jack Lindsey and Mindy Ola Alderman. She was married to Wilson A. Folsom of Thomasville who survives. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she was a member of the Church Relief Society. She worked for many years as a nurse and retired from the Brooks County Hospital. Survivors include daughters, Emma Jean Fulgham (Doug), Bernice Mitchell (Charles) all of Thomasville, Sarah Crowley (Gary) of Whigham; sisters, Cynthia Hart of Thomasville, Hattie Mae King of Morven; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bernie Folsom Sr.; a son, Bernie Folsom Jr.; brothers, C.J., Joe and Ronald Lindsey; and a sister, Doris Huffmaster.
