THOMASVILLE —
A Thomasville pizza restaurant was robbed at gunpoint midmorning Friday.
Little Caesars Pizza, 1516 E. Jackson St., was not open when the stickup took place.
An employee unlocked a door to let anther employee in, and an armed man followed the person inside.
“The man was armed with a handgun. He demanded money from the employees,” said Lt. Eric Hampton, Thomasville Police Department public information officer.
The man left the restaurant on foot with the money.
The bandit is described as black, tall, wearing a tan hoodie or a tan jacket with a hood and possibly blue jeans or dark pants.
No one was injured in the incident.
Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is asked to call Crimestoppers at 227-3305 or the police Criminal Investigations Division at 227-3302.
