Bishop Hall conducts winter graduation

THOMASVILLE — Eight Bishop Hall Charter School students in the Winter Graduating Class of 2012 received high school diplomas during commencement at the Thomasville Center for the Arts.

The ceremony began with a moment of silence in memory of lives lost in the Newtown, Conn., school tragedy and also for the passing of Lois Elam, wife of longtime Bishop Hall board member Ed Elam.

The ceremony was dedicated to American armed forces overseas and to the Bishop Hall alumni who have served in the military following graduation.

The ceremony was hosted by Thomas County’s superintendent of schools, Dr. Dusty Kornegay.
