THOMASVILLE — Nick Herndon plays for a travel team from Valdosta called Georgia Batmen. The team of 12-year-olds be traveling to Cooperstown, N.Y., next June to play baseball for a week. The team sold $5 tickets for a chance to win a $250 Walmart gift card. Carrie Holland, a teacher at Thomas County Middle School, was the winner.
