ALBANY —
The Albany Symphony Orchestra's 21st annual family-friendly Peppermint Pops will feature new additional performers this year with the highly acclaimed Boston Brass quintet joining The Albany Chorale and the Symphony for two concerts at the Albany Municipal Auditorium on Dec. 15.
This southwest Georgia holiday tradition highlights holiday musical classics and music of the season such as Anderson's "Christmas Festival,” a traditional Hanukkah medley, holiday sing-a-longs, Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker" and more. Performances will be at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Santa will make a special appearance at both times.
“I have previously worked with the Boston Brass and for the past several years have been eager to bring their outstanding musical abilities and highly entertaining style to Albany,” said ASO Music Director Claire Fox Hillard.
