THOMASVILLE — Yarn bombing came to Thomasville on Tuesday. Mary Kathryn Sibley, Latrelle Gavin and Betty Dixon are among a group of more than 60 textile artists putting their creative mark on several trees, benches and other fixtures on Broad Street. All week, textile artists will be downtown yarn bombing to promote Friday’s kick off of Flaunt 2012: Upcycle/Downtown, an artwalk and exhibition bringing 28 artists to 28 downtown locations for the month of September, supporting the value of recycling through art.
