ARCHBOLD ADDITIONS

Vu

Podiatrist Dr. Vietanh Vu recently joined the medical staff at Archbold and has opened Thomasville Foot and Ankle Center, a podiatry practice where she will treat patients of all ages for disorders of the foot and ankle.

Vu earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health with a minor in business administration from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va. She earned a Doctorate degree in podiatric medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Penn.. She then completed a residency in podiatry at Pinnacle Health Hospital in Harrisburg, Penn.

“I’m delighted to join the medical staff at Archbold,” said Vu. “I look forward to providing specialized podiatry care to the residents of Thomasville and surrounding areas.”

Because a number of diseases manifest first through symptoms of the lower extremities, Vu said podiatrists often detect serious health problems that may otherwise go unnoticed.

“Some diseases often associated with foot disorders include diabetes, arthritis, heart disease or kidney disease,” said Vu. “At Thomasville Foot and Ankle Center we specialize in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of foot disorders, diseases and injuries. We evaluate each patient to determine the need for diagnostic tests or surgery. In addition, we administer medications and prescribe physical therapy regimens.”

Vu will perform minor procedures in the office and major surgical procedures at Archbold Memorial Hospital.

Vu is accepting new patients at Thomasville Foot and Ankle Center, located at 2024 E. Pinetree Blvd, Suite H, in Thomasville. To make an appointment, call (229) 236-3338.

Wing

Family physician Dale L. Wing, MD, joined the medical staff at Archbold Memorial Hospital and will practice family medicine at Archbold Primary Care.

He joins Jason Griffin, MD, Phillip Jansen, DO, and Bruce Allen, PA-C, in seeing patients of all ages for chronic diseases, preventive measures, wellness exams and acute conditions requiring hospitalizations.

“Family physicians are important because they provide care for most health needs and they are generally the first contact for any new health issue a patient may have,” said Perry Mustian, Archbold CEO. “Dr. Wing will be a great asset to Archbold Primary Care and our community as we continue with our commitment to offer patients better access to primary care.”

Wing earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary science from the University of Mississippi and a medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He completed a residency in family medicine at the US Naval Hospital in Charleston, S.C.

Wing is board certified in family medicine.

To make an appointment at Archbold Primary Care, call (229) 226-5788.
