THOMASVILLE —
Seven members of the Thomas County 4-H Horse Program loaded up their horse trailers and headed to Perry for the 2012 State 4-H Horse Show. The local equestrians are competing against more than 400 4-H’ers from in five divisions (Stock Horse, Hunt Seat, Saddle Seat, Contest Event and Ranch Horse). They will be competing for state titles in individual classes as well as division championships and division reserve championships.
The top 50 exhibitors will be invited to compete at the 2012 Southern Regional Championship 4-H Show, along with the top 50 riders from 12 other states.
The Thomas County Show Team includes Sunnie Dee Wynn competing in the Stock Horse, Contest Event and Ranch Horse Division; Hope Nelson competing in the Stock Horse, Contest Event and Ranch Horse Division; Vallie Smith competing in Dressage and the Hunt Seat Division; Chloe Pickens competing in the Stock Horse, Hunt Seat and Ranch Horse Division; Katelyn Hancock competing in the Contest Event Division; Bryson Yarley competing in the Saddle Seat (Gaited) Division; and Jon-Henry Ellis competing in the Stock Horse Division.
The show got under way on Wednesday and will conclude Saturday.
