THOMASVILLE —
The Thomasville Antiques show is back. In addition to some new blood, it is welcoming back some wonderful dealers who were unable to attend last year’s show and sale.
Among the new dealers this year is Nula Thanhauser of East Hampton, N.Y., with a collection sure to dazzle the ladies. She is bringing a fantastic collection of collectible vintage purses, all of fine craftsmanship and materials. Some of her collection includes antique bags from the Victorian and Edwardian Eras as well as from designers such as Judith Leiber, Cartier and Tiffany. Thanhauser is well-respected for her expertise in vintage handbags as she has been a collector for 30 years. www.nulathanhauser.com
Another interesting newcomer to the antiques show this year is Carlson and Stevenson Antiques and Art hailing from Manchester Center, Vt. Their selection will feature early 20th-century watercolors depicting black Americans as well as graphics, advertising art and various media pieces from the 20th century. They are passionate about finding antiques that they love — a favorite being original cartoons from the early 20th century and vintage watercolors. www.carlsonandstevenson.com
