THOMASVILLE —
Thomasville High School’s new band director marches to the beat of a different drum. Joseph Regina is implementing new ideas for the marching band.
“I couldn’t be more excited to be doing this. I love that this is my job and that I get to make music with kids,” he said.
Regina’s 2012 theme consists of contemporary versions of dance music.
“I wanted to pick something that younger people could identify with,” Regina said.
Gabi Keve, an eighth grader who plays the clarinet, said that she enjoys that the music is well known.
“I think it’s a lot better than what we were doing in the past,” Keve said. “Mr. Regina is a lot of fun. He knows a lot about music, and he is a great teacher.”
