THOMASVILLE —
President General of the Childen of the Confederacy Callie Herold was asked to bring greetings to the Mary Brantley Chapter 446 United Daughters of the Confederacy Confederate Memorial Day service.
The ceremony began at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Dawson in the historically marked plot that belongs to their chapter. The Mary Brantley chapter placed a large memorial stone marker there in 1923.
