Danley, Lane receive special recognition for longevity with Flowers Baking Company

THOMASVILLE — Flowers Baking Co. of Thomasville recently held a ceremony to recognize 11 employees for their years of service to the company. Honored at the event were Alex McGill, Larry Coleman, Donald Cooper, Paul Chancey, Rocky Lara, Carol King, Dametrius Sampson, Willie Davis, Leon NeSmith, Roger Lane and Buddy Danley.

“It’s my pleasure to publicly thank these employees for their loyalty, dedication, and years of service to our company,” noted Mickey Miller, bakery president. “I appreciate each for their individual accomplishments and commitment to excellence.”  

Buddy Danley, branch sales manager, was singled out for achieving a unique milestone: he has worked for the company for 40 years.  “Buddy is a dedicated employee whose hard work, competitiveness, experience and customer service has helped build our company to what it is today,” said Chris Mulford, vice president of sales. “We appreciate his dedication to our company and it is employees like Buddy, who over the years, help make our company what it is today.”

Also receiving special recognition at the ceremony was Roger Lane, manufacturing manager, who has worked at the bakery for 35 years. “Roger has proven to be a valued, trusted member of our team, and his strong work ethic and leadership skills are greatly appreciated,” said Miller.

Flowers Baking Co. of Thomasville, located at 300 S. Madison St., produces and markets fresh breads, buns, and snack cakes that are sold in markets in Georgia, Alabama and Florida under the Nature’s Own, Cobblestone Mill, Sunbeam, and Blue Bird Brands. The bakery is a subsidiary of Flowers Foods (NYSE: FLO). Headquartered in Thomasville, Flowers Foods is a leading producer and marketer of packaged bakery foods for retail and foodservice customers.
