WALSENBURG, Colo. —
The Treehouse Children’s Advocacy Center filled more than 115 Easter baskets for child abuse victims of Thomas County earlier this month.
In March, The Treehouse asked the community to donate baskets, plastic eggs, candy and other items to fill baskets for child victims served by The Treehouse.
“When I first publicized our project, I only asked for items to make 30 baskets as I was not sure how the community would respond the project. As more people heard about what we were doing, items began to roll in. I am still overwhelmed that we received over 115 baskets as well as countless amounts of eggs, candy, and stuffed animals to go in them,“ said Treehouse Director Jackla Dean.
