THOMASVILLE —
Betty Harper walked way with the top prize at Saturday’s Civic Garden Club Flower Show in Paradise Park.
Harper won the Best Rose award at the 71st annual show, with a 2012 event theme of “Georgia on My Mind.”

• Best Southern Chair Design— Faye Hayes
• Best Tea Table — Dale Adams

• Best Annual and Perennials — Emorial Mitchell
• Best Junior Breakfast Table — Chrystal Butler
• Most Blue Ribbons in Horticulture — Ann Henderson
• Best School Art — Akeem Graham, second grade, Harper Elementary School; Ella Millere, third grade, Jerger Elementary School
