THOMASVILLE —
The 2011 International Bluegrass Music Association’s Emerging Artists of the Year are set to perform at the Thomasville Municipal Auditorium on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers are in high demand. They toured more than 35,000 miles, visiting 20 states and three Canadian provinces, last year while spicing their energetic mix of bluegrass and gospel music with tasteful, down-home humor.
Although his Ohio-based band has been on the national scene for a relatively short period, Mullins, owner of three radio stations in the Midwest, is hardly a newcomer. Over the past two decades, he has earned four IBMA awards and two Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America awards.
See Wednesday's edition for more details.
