Veterans Day program, breakfast set

THOMASVILLE — The annual Veterans Day  program is Friday at American Legion Post 31, 720 N. Madison St.

 The event, at 11 a.m., will feature Barbara Lee’s fifth-grade classes at Brookwood  Lower School and the AFROTC Detachment GA-9312  from Thomasville High School.

The veterans breakfast on Saturday will be prepared by the Knights of Columbus.

Reveille is at 7 a.m. by the AFROTC Detachment GA-9312 from Thomasville High School. Breakfast is at 7:30 a.m.

More than 100 veterans and their families were fed at the 2011 breakfast.

Veterans Day Parade floats will be boarded after the breakfast.

The Nationwide agent orange balloon release is at 1 p.m. Saturday at the post.
