SWGTC offers Negotiation for Peace and Profit

THOMASVILLE — Southwest Georgia Technical College’s (SWGTC) Office of Economic Development is offering a course in Negotiation for Peace and Profit in October. Everything you want and don’t already own is controlled by someone else, so the best way to get it is to know how to ask for it and to negotiate!

“The late Stephen R. Covey described the book Negotiation Genius as "An absolutely brilliant negotiation framework and tool kit of negotiation strategies, compellingly illustrated from extensive real and complex situations. It's the most comprehensive, wise, practical book on the subject I've seen."

“The material from the book will be used extensively and covers statements that capture the very essence of the class,” David Lewis, course Instructor.

The negotiation training that individuals will learn from this course includes negotiation tactics, technique and theory, which enables students to learn how to: increase earnings per share without increasing market share, create and claim value, understand conflict management and much more. These topics will be woven into an interactive paradigm requiring role play, simulations and case studies with extensive student participation. Attendees should be prepared to be challenged and ready to learn more about a subject which can often be the determining factor in success or failure in business and sometimes in life.
