BAINBRIDGE —
Bainbridge College plans to hire new full-time faculty in Bainbridge and in Blakely as well as new academic advisors in order to increase student access to vital support services as part of its plan to accommodate student completion rates as part of Governor Deal’s Complete College Georgia (CCG) initiative.
The college also plans to improve online courses, support high-cost technical programs, initiate an Honors Program, and launch of an expanded international program.
“All of these initiatives are important components of the college’s plan to meet the statewide goal of significantly increasing college completion rates in Georgia,” said Bainbridge College President Richard Carvajal.
Gov. Nathan Deal’s initiative to increase the numbers of Georgians earning a degree -Complete College Georgia (CCG) –has released specific plans by institutions in both the University System of Georgia (USG) and Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) to facilitate this initiative.
The campus plans detail exactly how the ambitious goal of adding an additional 250,000 postsecondary graduates to the state’s rolls by 2020 is going to be met. As institutions begin to implement the plans, higher education officials point out that they will receive continued assistance to improve the plans and will be held accountable for progress.
