THOMASVILLE — Today

12:30 p.m. — The Thomasville Rotary Club meets at the Plaza.

5:45 p.m. — Early bird Bingo games, sponsored by the Kouncil Club of Thomasville, are at St. Augustine Catholic Church social hall. Regular Bingo sessions begin at 6:45. Prizes awarded and proceeds go to local charities of southwest Georgia.

6 p.m. — Overeaters Anonymous meets at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1500 11th Ave. N.W., Cairo. For information, call 229-377-4995.



Friday

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – The Red Hills Gerontology Association will host its 2012 Symposium at Thomas University’s Campus Center.  The focus this year will be Alzheimer’s/dementia and family/caregiver support. Seating is limited. 12:30 p.m. — Thomasville Kiwanis Club meets at the Plaza.

1:30 p.m. — Archbold Hospital is holding a dedication and open house of the North Tower.

10 a.m. — Golden K Kiwanis Club meets at Dawson Street Baptist Church.



Wednesday

11:45 a.m. — The Thomasville Chapter DAR will hold its monthly meeting at the Plaza Restaurant. The program is the Brookwood Lower School Choir.

Thomas County Republican Party meets at 6 p.m., the third Tuesday of each month at 164-C Commercial Drive.

The Rose City Band rehearses Saturday mornings at the Thomasville Scholars Academy band room from 10 a.m. to noon. The group is open to area musicians 16 years and older who have previous band experience and can sight read. For information, call Thomas Wagner at 226-4663 or gibbtvl@rose.net.
