Funeral services were held in Ogden, Utah Nov. 23, 2009. Mrs. Thomas died Nov. 18, in Ogden, Utah surrounded by her pride and joy, “her family”. She was the first of nine children born to Calvin Quinn and Eva Butler in Cairo, Ga. She married her sweetheart, Alton C. (Skeets) Thomas Jr., June 1, 1945. Together they had three daughters. She was a "southern lady" in every aspect. One of her many talents was being a marvelous cook. She will be well remembered for that and her ability to tell fascinating stories of her life in Georgia. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting and spending time with her family. She loved people and was a friend to everyone. She worked many years as a seamstress in the sewing factories in the South. She also worked at Woolworths in both Georgia and Utah and her last employment was at McBee Systems in Ogden. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding various positions. She spent her last years at Union Gardens in Ogden where she had many dear friends.
