Clifford Leo Scott

Memorial services for Clifford Leo Scott, 64, of Cairo, are at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at the chapel of Clark Funeral Home. Interment is in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Scott died Nov. 12, 2009, at his home in Cairo. Born May 29, 1945, in Brooks County, Ga., he was the son of the late James Leo Scott and Louvenia Harrison, who survives. Mr. Scott was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a welder in the construction industry and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Jim McRae of Thomasville, Wendy and Chris Beatty of Boston; mother, Louvenia Harrison of Cairo; brother and sisters-in-law, Woodrow “Woody” Scott and Gail of Ochlocknee, Mae Scott of Albany; sisters and brother-in-law, Carolyn Courtney of Cairo, Alice and Lavon Bond of Whigham; grandchildren, Kyle Riley, Kortney Riley, Daylee Beatty, and Dalyn Beatty; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his father, James Leo Scott; his brother, Larry Wayne Scott Sr.; his sister, Robbie Nell Green; and stepfather, Maston Harrison.
