Services for Eugenia B. Brooks, 89, of Barwick are 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at Barwick Baptist Church where she was a member. Pastor Elbert Channell will officiate and interment follows in Rosewood Cemetery. Mrs. Brooks passed away Nov. 9, 2009 at her residence. Born September 11, 1920 in Dixie, Ga., she was the daughter of the late W.I. Bruce and Eula M. Bruce. She was preceded in death by husbands, Lamar Gore and Harold Brooks. Survivors include sons, Gene Gore and wife Judy of Alvaton, Ky., Johnny Gore and wife Linda of Toccoa, Ga., Bobby Gore and wife Linda of Macon; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Marguerite Davis of Roswell; brothers, Albert Bruce of Dixie and Boyd Bruce of Tallahassee. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Franklin Gore; brothers, Irwin Bruce, Sam Bruce; and sister, Loretta Ring. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Barwick Baptist Church, P.O. Box 202, Barwick, Ga. 31720 or the charity of your choice.
