Agnes Prince Barrett

Services for Agnes Prince Barrett, 75, of Cairo, Ga., will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Cairo, Georgia, with interment in the church cemetery. Pastor Ronald Barrett will officiate and her nephews will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Barrett passed away at her home Monday, September 28, 2009. Born January 5, 1934, in Grady County Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Lillie Mae Oakes Prince. She was a seamstress with Grady County Mills. On February 7, 1952, she married Grover Neal Barrett who preceded her in death January 1, 1997. She is survived by sons, Gary Neal Barrett and Ricky Nelson Barrett (Carol) all of St. Petersburg, Florida; daughters, Ann Deeney (David), Debbie Ansley (David) and Trina Hester (Johnny) all of Cairo, Georgia; grandchildren, Chastity Cox (Steve), Jeremy Barrett, Amber Johnson (Jeremiah), Cedric Williams, Deanna Hudson (Justin), Justin Williams (Donica), Trey Ansley, Joshua Ansley, Thomas Ansley, John Thomas and Barrett Hester all of Cairo, Georgia, and Blair Barrett, St. Petersburg, Florida; thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Royce Prince (Frances), Joe Prince (Ruth) all of Cairo, Georgia, and Glenn Prince (Georgia), Augusta, Georgia; sisters, Lorene Spruiell, Lynette Simpson and Judy O'Neil all of Cairo, Georgia; sister-in-law, Velma Prince, Cairo, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Wilburn Prince and Ray Prince, sister, Monteen Fowler. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
