Services for Franklin Pershing Wade, 72, of 402 Lester St., Thomasville, are 1 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, at First Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Pastor Sherwin Callwood will officiate and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Active pallbearers are friends of the family. Mr. Wade lived 30 years in Thomasville and was a retired laborer. He was born March 6, 1937, in Bainbridge, to the late Lewis Wade and Minnie Lee Jones Wade. He married Annie Grace Tramel, of Thomasville, on Dec. 24, 1957, in Thomasville. Mr. Wade was a member of First Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He died June 15, 2009, at Goodwill Nursing Home in Macon. Survivors include his wife, Annie Grace Wade of Thomasville; sons, Michael Wade (Cynthia) of Leesburg and Kenneth Wade (Cynthia) of McDonough; daughters, Annie D. Wade (Amos) of Pine Park and Alma Smith (Ned) of Thomasville; brothers, Theodore Wade of Bainbridge and Timothy Wade; sister, Kathryn Wade of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; uncle, Wade (Ray) Jones of Bainbridge; stepdaughter, Betty Peters of Athens; 14 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and other relatives. Visitation is noon until 8:30 p.m. Sunday. The remains will lie instate at the church from 11 a.m. until funeral hour with no viewing after the eulogy. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
