Cynitha Annette Morey Freeman

Services for Cynitha Annette Morey Freeman, 72, of Baconton, are 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Cool Springs Baptist Church with interment in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ronald Barrett will officiate. Born January 28, 1937, in Dougherty County, Mrs. Freeman was the daughter of the late Rev. Ernest and Annie Lee Blackwell Morey, and was married to the late Felton Deanly Freeman. She was a homemaker and retired from the U.S. Marine Corps Logistics Base of Albany. Mrs. Freeman was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church and an avid gardener. She died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Morey and Ronald Morey. Survivors include four daughters, Susan Jamerson and husband Jim of Pelham, Kerran Osborne and husband Franklin of New Bern, N.C., Krista Sanders and husband Gene of Fleming Island, Fla., and Shea Vinson and husband Robert of Baconton; one sister, Vera Dixon and husband Glynn of Fayetteville, N.C.; two brothers, Tyron Morey and wife Pat of Albany and Larry Morey and Jackie of McDonough; a sister-in-law, Dannie Morey of Baconton; 11 grandchildren, Windy Autrey, Mandy Eidson, Shannon Roland, Heather Sanders, Peyton Smithwick, Kaitlyn Jamerson, Kendall Sanders, Ashton Smithwick, Jenna Vinson, Christian Sanders, and Erin Vinson; six great-grandchildren, Leianna, Thomas, Jacey, Mason, Hobie and Jayden; and, several nieces and nephews. Visitation is 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, one hour prior to the services, at the church. Memorials may be made to Cool Springs Baptist Church, Sale City, GA 31784.
