Services for Marie Wyche (Ree) Williams of Orlando, Fla., and formerly of Thomasville, are at noon, Sunday, June 15, 2008, at First Seventh Day Adventist Church. Elder King Parramore will officiate and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Active pallbearers are George Wyche, Herbert Williams, Ronnell Williams, Louise Wyche, Alvin Williams and Kenneth Lawyer. Mrs. Williams died June 9 at Florida Hospital in Orlando. Born March 21, 1922, in Thomasville, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Lucendy Wyche. On Aug. 28, 1932, she married James Williams who preceded her in death. She attended Thomas County schools and a member of Mt. Sinai Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Mrs. Williams was a retired housekeeper and had lived in Orlando since 1958. Survivors include her daughter, Etta (Howard) McCoy of Orlando; grandchildren, Carolyn Harrell, Deborah Steele both of St. Petersburg, Fla., Booker (Beverly) McCoy of Ft. Myers, Fla., Rufus Body of Pennsauken, N.J., Felicia (Stanley) Burnett of Orlando, Tamitrus Body, Christopher Body both of Camden, N.J.; sisters, Mary Williams, Crotel (Richard) Lawyer all of Thomasville; brothers, James (Pansy Mae) Wyche of Thomasville, Oneal (Marie) Wyche of Nassau, N.Y., Nathaniel (Betty) Wyche of Thomasville; brother-in-law, Oscar Mahoney of Freeport, N.Y.; 11 great-grandchildren, Cavokia Evans, Donta (Anquanita) Johnson, Jason Steele all of St. Petersburg, Fla., Danielle Cross of Tallahassee, Fla., Cierra Camon of Fort Myers, Fla., Stanley Burnett of Memphis, Tenn., Fausto Beato of Fort Myers, Kaliel Helton of Camden, Desiree Burnett of Orlando, Nicholas Burnett of Orlando, Nathanial Greene of Camden; two great-great-grandchildren, Aujinay Steele, Taijon Parrish both of St. Petersburg; godchildren, Michael Cooper, Michelle Cooper both of Orlando; loyal extended family, Michael (Eloise) Cooper, Mae Waldon, Mary Stevenson, L.C. (Brenda) Brown all of Orlando; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, numerous friends. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., today at the funeral home. The viewing is from 9:30 a.m., Sunday at the church until the funeral hour with no viewing after the eulogy.
