Ruby R. Anderson



A private family service for Ruby R. Anderson of Thomasville is at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Anderson died Thursday, July 16, at her residence. Born Feb. 24, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Johnny Roberts and Beaulah Hodges. She was married to Eugene Franklin Anderson who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of the Salvation Army Church. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Bill Wentworth of Thomasville, Joan and Jack Drew of Cairo; four brothers, Herbert Roberts, Lawrence Roberts, Wayne Roberts, Walter Lee Roberts; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Wyandell M. Ragan; a son, Morris H. Miller Jr.; and grandson, Morris H. Miller III. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southwest Georgia. — Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home
