Cleveland Ivey

Services for Cleveland Ivey, 72, of Coolidge, are at 11 a.m., July 4, 2009, at Silver Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Coolidge. The Rev. Dr. Warren C. Hope will officiate and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Thomasville. Mr. Ivey died June 30 at Archbold Hospital. Born Feb. 8, 1937, in Coolidge, he was a son of the late Henry and Beatrice Ivey. On Dec. 27, 1960, in Coolidge, he married Delma Brinson. He was a school bus driver and business owner. He was a 1955 graduate of Coolidge High School. He was a member of Silver Hill Missionary Baptist Church where he was Sunday school superintendent and church board director. Survivors include his wife, Delma Ivey of Coolidge; son, Cleveland Steve Ivey of Coolidge; daughter-in-law, Stacey Ivey of Coolidge; and grandsons, Darius Ivey of Thomasville, Brenson Ivey and James Ivey both of Coolidge. The viewing is from noon to 8:30 p.m., today and from 9:30 a.m., until the funeral hour Saturday at the church with no viewing after the eulogy. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
