Ralph McCrary
Graveside services for Ralph “Country” McCrary, 69, of Thomasville, are at noon, July 3, 2009, at Boston Cemetery. The Rev Gary L. Clark will officiate. Mr. McCrary died June 24 at Archbold Hospital. Born June 18, 1940, in Butler, Taylor County, Ga., he was a son of the late Ralph H. McCrary Sr. and Mae Carrie Threats McCrary. He attended North Boston Elementary School. Mr. McCrary was employed at Georgia Crate and Basket Co. and did brick masonry work. Survivors include a son, Darryl Brooks of Chester; brother, Leroy McCrary of Thomasville; brother and wife, Franklin McCrary and Konice of Thomasville; brother, Jerry McCrary of Thomasville; brother and wife, Charles McCrary and Pessa of Thomasville; sisters and husbands, Annette Christian and Herbert of Boston, Mary Calloway and George, Gail Odom and Wayne, Dorothy McIntyre and Eddie all of Thomasville; sisters, Minnie Whitlock, Janice Wilkerson both of Albany; uncles, Walter Threats of Atlanta, Carlton McCrary of Detroit, Mich., Matthew McCrary of Southfield, Mich.; aunt, Beatrice Leonard of Rochester, N.Y.; special friend, Nancy Bryant of Chicago, Ill.; goddaughters, Falesha Lamons, Edwina Herring; godson, Edwin Dennis; special friends, Earl and Ella Wilson, David Rone, Minnie Seabrook; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and Providence Plaza family and friends. He was preceded in death by Lou Neal McCrary. The family will receive friends after the service at Boston Community Center in Boston. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at 11 a.m., at 321 W. Monroe St. for the procession. The viewing is from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., today at the funeral home. — Grooms Funeral Home
